Lucia's favorite feature of the new house is clearly her doorway jumper. Even though it looks like the world's largest pair of underpants with suspenders. But Oh how she swings and spins with glee! That last face is just goofy.

Hello again.

Hooray, I'm finally back online after a brief hiatus. We just a phone line here at the new house (thanks for the not-so-great customer service AT&T!). Other than that the move went smoothly. Just the usual upheaval of one's life and soreness of one's back that can be expected. We're settling in nicely and even Niko has ceased to pace the perimeter of the house all night long. Unfortunately as much as I'd like to show pictures of the new digs my camera's battery charger is in one of those boxes yet to be unpacked. But here's a photo of Lucia with her peer, young Silas, taken one of the last days in the Mission. (Notice the crazy reflection of Kate, Silas' mom, in the corner.) And you know in the Mission we all be sportin' our black hoodies. More soon..

I wouldn't usually name a post after a Jummy Fallon movie {though we did have our little moment at Benders :) } but this is all Lucia's idea anyway {with maybe just a touch of help from Uncle Al}. Apparently it's "rally time" and "go time" and we should all also have on our "game face" like she does here.

Here are a couple of the requisite baby-having-bath-in-the-kitchen-sink photos that no baby chronicle could be without. Lucia loves her baths. In our new house I don't think her special baby tub is going to fit in the sink, and she is barely fitting into the baby tub anymore so she will probably be graduating to the big girl's bath. Yet another sign of her tiny newborn stage fading away. sigh

My dad's side of the family came through town this weekend and everyone had a ball seeing Lucia, passing her around and chiniandola!

Great news!

Lucia and I finally have a home of our own! Thanks to lots of help from Grandpa and my mom we are making this dream a reality in sunny Oakland! Stay tuned for the house warming party details...

Second Baseball Game

Older and wiser, Lucia made her return to A's stadium on September 14th for an exciting extra innings victory over the Texas Rangers. If only the wins could have continued for the A's. Oh well, see you next season!

Lucia is definitely moving into teething time. Good thing she has such plump and luscious little paws.

Lucia's first movie night

We went to the baby brigade at the Parkway for the first time last Monday. For those of you who don't live around here it is a really cool movie theater that allows babies under one in for a couple of shows each week. I thought there would be lots of disturbing crying but everyone was very well behaved including, of course, Lucia. We saw a sweet little film called Once about an aspiring British musician. Lynda and Chelsa (a.k.a. Ma + Ma2) shared their couch and popcorn.
